Shepherd Of The Hills Outdoor Drama In 1907, a novel was published that would forever change the fate of a small community in the Ozark Mountains. That novel was the immortal "Shepherd of the Hills", and the community that it changed would become known as "The Live Entertainment Capitol of the World, Branson Missouri!" The Shepherd of the Hills outdoor pageant, based on the best selling novel, involves 80 actors, 40 horses, and a stage the size of a football field, which brings Mr. Wright's tale thundering to life.
